Pablo Garcia joined Task Technology Ltd as CEO in late 1998, with his vision to transform that business into a subscription-based service provider, focused on the retail oil vertical.

Through 1999 Pablo implemented a restructuring of service contracts throughout the company, migrating all relationships to a subscription basis, and explicitly rejecting from the business any relationships which could not adapt to a bi-lateral commitment. This accomplished a dramatic acceleration in services activity, revenues and profit by late 1999, with strong growth in these metrics continuing through 2000 and 2001.

With the changed service relationships in place, Pablo focused through 2000 on implementing his vision for the transition of Task's product portfolio into an internet enabled ASP (Application Service Provider) delivery model, introducing a new range of value adding services.

In this period Task completed the development of the first stage of a new "web native" logistics and decision support software, "Rendezvous". Rendezvous is designed to enable inventory control for multi site networks and franchises.

Throughout his time with Task, Pablo has been facilitating the merger with sister companies in Malaysia, India and Germany, to build a global supplier for the retail oil vertical. This iniative is being realised in 2001, and concludes the period of Pablo's contribution to this company.
